Why Isn't My Vehicle Appearing in iVendi Stock?

Most dealerships use an automated "stock feed" that automatically sends updated stock lists from their DMS (Dealer Management System), website provider, or stock manager directly to iVendi.

If a recently added vehicle is missing, or if an update (like a price reduction) isn't showing, it is usually down to a minor detail in the data or a standard delay in the feed processing schedule.

Follow this simple checklist to identify and resolve why your vehicle isn't showing up.

Step 1: Check if the vehicle is live in your stock management system

Before iVendi can display a vehicle, it must be properly prepared and published from your source stock system (such as your DMS or website manager). Double-check that:

  • The vehicle is marked as "Active" or "For Sale" (not marked as sold, reserved, or draft).
  • The vehicle is assigned to the correct physical dealership location or rooftop.
  • The vehicle is actively set to publish to the third-party feeds (some systems have check boxes for each advertising channel).
  • All mandatory vehicle details are complete (such as the registration plate, price, and mileage).

If the vehicle isn't live or is missing required fields in your stock management system, it won't be exported in the data feed, and iVendi won't be able to display it.

Step 2: Confirm the required details are complete

Lenders and calculators require a baseline of structured data to process quotes. If a vehicle has invalid or empty fields, iVendi's import system may reject that specific listing during processing. make sure the following details are complete:

  • Registration (VRM): important for UK vehicle identification.
  • Selling Price: Must be present and greater than £0.
  • Mileage: Required to calculate accurate finance limits.
  • Vehicle Condition: Must be specified as New or Used.
  • Vehicle Type/Class: Must be categorised as a Car, LCV (van), or Bike.

Step 3: Check the Feed ID (important for Dealer Groups)

If you are part of a dealer group with multiple physical sites (rooftops), your vehicles are assigned to specific locations using a unique Feed ID.

If a vehicle has been uploaded under the wrong Feed ID in your stock system, it may accidentally display under the inventory of another sister site, or not process to any record at all. Always verify that the stock system has the correct location selected for that specific chassis.

Step 4: Compare with a "working" vehicle

If you are stuck, find a vehicle on your site that is displaying and quoting perfectly. Compare its configuration in your stock manager against the missing vehicle. Often, this side-by-side check will reveal a simple missing flag, such as an unticked "VAT Qualifying" box or an unassigned vehicle class.

Step 5: Understand standard processing delays

Stock feeds do not run instantly in real time. They operate on a scheduled basis, typically once or twice per day.

  • Standard Schedule: When you add a new vehicle or adjust a price in your DMS, those changes are bundled into a file by your stock provider, uploaded to iVendi's secure servers, and then processed.
  • The Delay: It is completely normal for there to be a delay of several hours between updating a vehicle in your showroom system and seeing those updates reflect on your active finance calculator. If you updated the vehicle recently, wait for your stock provider’s next scheduled upload to process.

  • Feed ID (if known)
  • Vehicle Make, Model, and Price
  • When the vehicle was added/updated in your system
  • A screenshot of the vehicle’s listing inside your stock manager or DMS
