Why Aren't My Finance Quotes Displaying?

What are the most common checks so you can get your quotes back up and running?

If finance quotes are not displaying on your website or within your finance journey, it is usually due to a simple detail, such as a typo in the vehicle's mileage, a quick setting that needs adjusting, or a vehicle falling slightly outside a lender’s criteria.

This guide will walk you through the most common checks so you can get your quotes back up and running. If you're still stuck, we’ll show you exactly how to get in touch with our support team for a quick fix!

Step 1: Is it just one vehicle, or the whole website?

The first step is to check how widespread the issue is. This will help you narrow down the cause:

  • One vehicle: If only one vehicle is missing quotes, the issue is almost certainly related to that specific vehicle’s data or its eligibility for your available finance products.
  • Several or all vehicles: If finance is missing across many or all of your vehicles, this could point to a wider website integration or finance configuration setting.

💡 Quick Tip: Find a vehicle on your site where finance is displaying correctly. Comparing the "working" vehicle against the "non-working" one is often the fastest way to spot what’s wrong!

Step 2: Check the vehicle’s information

Lenders rely on accurate vehicle data to calculate finance quotes. Incorrect, missing, or unrealistic information can prevent quotes from being returned.

Double-check that the affected vehicle has the correct details entered in your stock management system or Dealer Management System (DMS):

  • Class: Is it correctly categorised as a Car, LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle/Van), or Motorbike?
  • Registration (VRM): Is the registration plate number correct and formatted properly?
  • Registration Date: Is the vehicle's first registration date accurate?
  • Mileage: Is the mileage correct? (e.g., watch out for extra zeros that might make a vehicle's mileage appear impossibly high!).
  • Condition: Is it marked correctly as New or Used?

How to fix it: If you find any errors, update the details in your stock management system, or request your website provider to change the data.

Step 3: Check finance criteria and availability

Even if a vehicle's details are 100% correct, it might not meet the strict rules set by your lenders. Lenders configure their products with specific limits, and if your quote falls outside these, finance won't be available.

Check whether:

  • Vehicle limits are met: Does the vehicle exceed the lender's maximum age or mileage limits for that specific product?
  • Price and deposit limits are met: Lenders often have minimum or maximum limits for the amount financed, the selling price, or the customer deposit.

Step 4: Identify exactly where the quotes are missing

Knowing exactly where the journey breaks helps us troubleshoot much faster. Follow the affected vehicle through the full customer journey on your website and note down where the finance information is missing:

  1. Stock-listing or search results pages: Are the initial monthly payments or "from £X/month" figures missing here?
  2. Finance calculator: Does the main calculator on the vehicle advert page fail to load, or does it load but say "finance unavailable"?
  3. Finance Checking / Apply Now buttons: Are the buttons to check eligibility or start an application missing from the page?

Step 5: Refresh and retest

If you have corrected any vehicle details or adjusted settings, let's make sure you aren't viewing an old cached version of your webpage:

  1. Refresh your web browser: Give the page a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5 on Windows, or Cmd + Shift + R on Mac).
  2. Use a private/incognito window: Open a new incognito window and navigate to the vehicle advert. This bypasses your browser's saved cache and cookies.
  3. Try another browser or device: Test the page on your mobile phone or a different web browser (like Chrome, Safari, or Edge) to see if it loads there.
